How freakin’ adorable is this dress from Charlotte Russe? I’m actually OBSESSED with it! It’s exactly my style – shows off my small waist, hides my curvier lower half, and is modest without being suffocating. It’s such a classic look and then the leather adds a little modern edge to it. I paired it with red-ish/raspberry lipstick and my favorite sunglasses from Nordstrom. The whole look has a bit of a 50s vibe to it!

I also parted my hair differently, I don’t know if you can tell. I’m trying out new parts since I’ll be chopping off about two inches in a few weeks (eek!). I’m not sure I like this off-center look though. What do you think?

I wore this to my last day working in Chapman’s Alumni Relations department. I definitely cried since it was my last day…oh gosh, I’m tearing up now! I had such an incredible time managing the alumni social media for the university and learned so much. I hate saying goodbye so much. It’s really, really hard, especially since I’ve been working there for a year. My boss was so kind at took me to this amazing pizza place as a last hurrah. I will miss working there dearly.

Flashback Friday: A Look Back at April

Look back at April

April went by so fast! I cannot believe it is May and I have two weeks of school left…it doesn’t seem real. I wanted to take today to reflect on the past month.

It’s been a great month! I have so much going on in May – moving from California back to Washington, final exams, saying goodbye to all of my Chapman friends, and formal. I am excited, nervous, sad, stressed, and so happy all at the same time. It’s going to be a roller coaster for sure.

Printed Skirt & Allyssa from Life With Lyss

Print SkirtsI am so excited about this collaboration with Allyssa from Life with Lyss! We both have adorable printed skirts from Charlotte Russe, so we decided to style them for this post. Allyssa was one of my first blogging friends and definitely somebody I look up to. I really encourage you all to check out her blog which features the best fashion and outfit inspiration – very classy and sweet!

I decided to actually show off two ways to style my tribal print skirt – from day to night. I kept it casual with the daytime look by adding a flowy white t-shirt, combat boots, and a chunky scarf. For night, I threw on a sexy black tank, some sky-high wedges, a bold statement necklace, and then some red-hot lipstick to top it all off.

Romping in Hot Pink

Charlotte RusseCharlotte Russe has some incredible new spring arrivals and this romper is no exception. I’m completely in love with everything about it from the hot pink color to the flattering shape to the lace accents. This is the first romper I’ve ever owned because I was convinced they were the least flattering thing for any woman with hips or thighs. However, I was pleasantly surprised when this fit me like  a glove and accentuated my small waist. It highlights my curves in all the right ways! The chunky chain bracelet I’m wearing is too cute and guess what? It is also from Charlotte Russe!
